Second pair of these headphones i’ve bought, one for home and one for the office. Great sound (i’m no audiophile, but its certainly a decent sound for the price) nice build quality, the removable (and side-swappable) 3. 5′ cable is really good quality, and the fact that it folds up means it can take up less space in a bag, and also survive a bit betteralso, a bonus is that you can ‘daisy chain’ another pair of headphones into the spare 3. 5′ jack female port if you aren’t using it. You can plug in whichever side you want, and daisy chain into the other. Great for traveling couples. Being able to swap the input 3. 5 is great if you are using these at a computer as you don’t want the cable dangling over your mouse hand.
I love love love these headphones. So much so that i have bought them again when my first pair got broken. If you are like me and have a little head then these guys are fab. I know the trend is to have massive ones, make a statement, but thanks to all the gorgeous colours you can get in these trust me it’ll make enough of a statement (if you’re that way inclined). I have had lots of people stopping me on my various commutes and asking me where i got them. The actual pads on the ear pieces are compfy as i have various piercings on both my ears and they do not impeed on these at all. The sound is great for the price the only downside is if you do have them very very loud other people can hear them but alas they’re not noise cancelling headphones, and medium volume is enough for me anyway. (works a treat at booking out the sounds of your fellow commuters). They are a great device and so easily packed away in your bag.
Found these headphones while i was out one day and was immediately drawn in by the minimalist design, and being able to choose from an array of colours. This is definitely a huge upside, as it allows you to pick a pair that best suits you. Almost gives then a personal touch. Not only do i love the choices of colours available, but they sound fantastic tooif you’re looking for a great pair of headphones, for a very great price, the plattans are the way to gograb a pair now.
I bought these headphones over three years ago and use them frequently, no signs of wear and tear, great sound quality.
My friend was in the pub showing me a song and had these, i decided to get a pair myself after i noticed a couple of things i liked about them. The main thing for me is that they stay on your head pretty well without slipping off. I had a pair of skullcandy lowriders which are not the best (built quality, sound or ergonomics) but they kept slipping off while i was at the gym lying down on some of the benches. These on the other hand stay on even when i am using the decline bench, basically, they’ll stay on your head even if you’re upside down all while not being too tight. They’re relatively comfy to keep on for long periods of time, you do get that weird ache on your ears when you take them off after like 4 or 5 hours but you get that with any headphones and these are pretty comfy as they’re not too heavy either, i use them for skype all the time too. One thing worth noting before condemning these in a review or even just after buying them is that they sound quite different to most headphones. They seem to have a lot more bass and more mid range frequencies too. When you try them out for the first time just be sure to use the equalizer on your device or computer’s media player. I’d recommend going for something with the bass frequencies on a medium setting, mids lowered considerably and treble raised significantly, just try and work out a balance and they’ll be just fine, but they most likely won’t sound that good to anybody who doesn’t eq their music and leaves all the sliders on neutral. I’ve had them for a month and a bit now and they haven’t shown any sign of damage even after daily use so they seem to be holding up okay.
I am very happy with these headphones, one of my favourite things is that they are pretty nondescript so i’m not a walking advert, however i wouldn’t mind advertising these to be honest, i’ve recommended them to my friends. I haven’t had any problems with sound cutting out as some other reviewers commented on, it may happen after a time i suppose but so far the sound quality is fantastic. They felt a bit tight at first but that has got better as they’ve loosened up and i’ve got used to them. I wear glasses which is uncomfortable unless i raise the arms above the pads which i don’t mind doing but it’s something to keep in mind when choosing which type to get. The only grumble i have is that they’re described as indigo but i would call it green.
I got this urbanears last year after i’ve seen it at sense8. They are really good for pop and electronic, not that good for rock.
The thing i love most about these headphones primarily is the sound quality. Ok i’m a cheapskate and have only ever paid a poultry £30 at most for headphones. Believe me people the little bit extra is worth the investment, especially for these ones. If i was to rate these then i would start with the sound. I would have to say that these little beauties really shine. The bass is tight & well pronounced without fatiguing your eardrums. Mid range sits very well in the mix. Treble is bold but without the harshness of poorer quality products. The overall mix is high quality & very pleasant to listen to.
If you want something that sounds great and looks good but don’t want to spend a lot of money for it, then this is really perfect. It’s compact and folds away so it’s really easy to carry it around when it’s not in use, looks good around the neck too. For the price, the quality is really good.
I received these shortly after ordering, even on – free – standard delivery, which i was very pleased with. The overall appearance is lovely, just what i wanted. Smooth and matte textures, anti-tangle cable, easy to store. I got these just under half price for about £21 which was an complete bargain and i’m overall very happy with their performance. However, after having these for about two months so far, i’ve noticed that the jack is starting to go. When i plug them in my laptop i have to pull it out ever so slightly, otherwise it will only play sound out of one ear. It’s really disappointing because i absolutely love these headphones. The sound quality is excellent and they suit me really well. I’ve been extra careful with the jack since i bought them but i can only see it getting worse. I would not have bought these if they were full price, and if i had, i would be demanding a refund by now.
My main concern when buying headphones is sound leakage. I tend to use public transport a lot so i don’t want others to be disturbed by my music. You can spend £200 on a pair of ‘beats by dr dre’ but everyone has to listen to your music because they leak so much dam sound. As soon as they are on your head your music is loud and clear, and everyone around can’t hear a thing, even when they’re stood right next to you. The cloth cable is also extremely useful, these headphones never get tangled, so you can spend more time listening to music then untangling the cable. Also they have a microphone and controller on the cable so it’ll work on your phone to pause/play music and answer phone calls. It’s a little unfortunate that it doesn’t have volume control and song changer, but what can you do. But definitely recommend these.
The noise my sister made opening these headphones on christmas morning is like nothing i’ve ever heard. I’d describe it as painfully happy. Look great, built great, sound okay. More style over substance, not my thing, but still better than the cheapo ‘stylish’ sony rubbish everyone insists on buying for some reason.
Would recommend highlygood quality build and sound. Had these for years until i left them in a crappy hotel in france. But best investment i have had. Lasted so long being chucked around by a teenager. Only thing is the top band is only plastic or something (inside for the rigidity) and will get slightly dented on the edges if you have it in your bag with heavy textbooks and throw the bag around. But still wearable just a little loss in aesthetics.
Considering the price range of these headphones, they are excellent. Please don’t spend over £100 on beats headphones when these are just as good, and look better. You can choose from lots of colours which i love and the sound quality is great. These headphones are superb for blocking out sounds around you and really focuses on the music. Very impressed, this pair is the second i have bought – and is a gift for a family member.
Really impressed with these headphones, they genuinely give a great sount, quite bassy, and tge y isolate outside sound really well. Though i like to hear some outside noise so when um travelling i know what’s going on around methe ability to plug in others headphones is nice, also the fabric covered wires i love. It makes them easier to wrap up and less likely to damage. I’ve only marked this down 1 star as i find them a bit tight, which can get uncomfortable after a few hours. Also i think there might me a loose wire around the jack on mine as the sound can dim if in a certain position, but i’ll keep an eye on thatbtw i got these just after trying out the beats ones, and honestly they aren’t a whole lit better, super bassy though.
These headphones are great, the bass is great and the overall sound quality is great and it has a mic and the quality on that is really good too and i like the whole design of the product and the color and it doesn’t have logo’s all of it which is good so it’s less chance of someone stealing it from you and it folds up nice and compact so you can store it away or carry it.
No microphone so you can’t use as phone headphones and shockingly no volume control on the cord. I’ve lost them, which is a shame, but will look to buy a different pair next for this reason.
As i stupidly left my last pair on an aeroplane (thanks united for failing to recover them) i replaced them the minute i retured as i was lost without them. Cannot recommend them highly enough:great sound, comfortable and stylish, i have started a fad amongst my friends all of which now have thembut be aware if you are using them with any new nokia (n8 for example) you will need an adapter (free from urbanears)as in their wisdom nokia have reversed the order of their trrs config.
Nice looking, nice sounding headphones. My only gripes would be the short cable – i have mine on my imac, without a headphone extension lead i would have to work about an inch from my screen. They are also a bit tight and get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours.
Bought two pairs of these, one for my niece and one for me. Sound quality is good although if your traveling in an aeroplane you still get rather alot of background noise. Also, as they are ‘on ear’ headphones i found my ears began to hurt after an hour or so (and i don’t have ears like prince charles either). All in all a good set of cans for the price with good sound quality. I would recommend over ear headphones if you want to avoid earache.
First saw this on car journey with friends. Friend or sister can plug her own, ordinary ear buds into the headphones, allowing both wearers to hear the music from eg one ipod without need for y-jack or having one earbud each. Pretty item, folds up as well. Aslo asts as remote microphone for phone. Have beeen using for children to play silent bop-it – great for parents’ nerves in flight lounges, planes.
