Sony MDR-1ADAC High Resolution Prestige Overhead Headphones, The Wonderful MDR-1ADAC

I’ve only had these for 24 hours, but i can inform straight away that i believe they are executing a good occupation. Bad stuff: i get the exact connection issue to a z5 that others have experienced with z2 or z3 – the connection cuts out and i have to push participate in. This took place in a cluster of about three breaks, but hasn’t occurred since. Its a little bit of a ache possessing to ‘find’ the headphones as a usb unit each individual time i plug them in. Great things: its an tasteful alternative to a difficulty, no want to have a 2nd box to carry around if you want good dac decrypted audio. It will play up to 192kps files, flac and dsd. Battery lifestyle seems very good (i use them on an hour and a fifty percent commute). Make excellent is outstanding, as is comfort and ease. Nice box with a excellent range of cables, manuals and a sturdy bag to put your cans in when not in use. Sound: my reference cans are audio technica ath w1000 x and prior to my mdr 1adacs i was utilizing mdr-ex650s in-ears for portable audio.

I picked these up from amazon for about £130 just just lately (getting viewed the frequent retail selling price of all over £250) and feel for this price tag these are an absolute steal. Not sure i might be really as content if i’d compensated £250. You should not like that they only have eight several hours battery time. Though this is more than ample for any just one listening session (or a day out) you do have to don’t forget to charge them every and just about every day if you are a significant user. Do like that they are relaxed. Also the seem good quality is great. Deep, really hard hitting, tight bass. Attractive smooth and abundant mids and tingling sharp (but not shrill) highs. Soundstage is excellent and instrument separation seems proper and accurate.

Above the decades i have a quantity of dacs and headphones which provides the chance to blend them to get an interesting seem dependent on the type of music you are listening. When the sony mdr-1adac was introduced, i assumed it was about time anyone would merge a pair of headphones with a built-in dac. When the rate was down below what was commonly advertised, i acquired a set of them. What was exciting was the sum of cables that was obtainable to interface with your transportable product (note i was only fascinated in the pc/charging cable to connect to my personal computer/notebook (for this, you need to download a driver)). Subsequent a straight forward setup it was time to play. General the audio was vibrant and heat, a large seem phase and not weighty on the bass. With no the built-in dac (cable equipped) the headphone seem really superior and will operate well with a standalone dacs.

I’ve experienced these for a 12 months now and they are genuinely excellent headphones,i use them with my sony zx100’s and the hi res music participant on my pc. Audio good quality is excellent, some testimonials mention lower volume but i have not long gone earlier 50 percent volume on mine and it is plenty loud. Potentially it is product dependant, related to my walkman it is simply incredible. I do listen to generally dsd and flac even though so that can help i’m guaranteed. I enjoy them and really advise a invest in.

Amazing – flac on iphone with onkyo hf player.

Sony MDR-1ADAC High Resolution Prestige Overhead Headphones with Built In DAC – Black : These are brilliant headphones . I bought them to replace my mdr1-a headphones , which i liked very much , but these are far superior.

I picked these up from amazon for around £130 just recently (having seen the regular retail price of around £250) and think for this price these are an absolute steal. Not sure i’d be quite as happy if i’d paid £250. Don’t like that they only have 8 hours battery time. While this is more than enough for any one listening session (or a day out) you do have to remember to charge them each and every day if you are a heavy user. Do like that they are comfortable. Also the sound quality is excellent. Deep, hard hitting, tight bass. Lovely smooth and rich mids and tingling sharp (but not shrill) highs. Soundstage is excellent and instrument separation seems correct and accurate.

I’ve had these for a year now and they are really excellent headphones,i use them with my sony zx100’s and the hi res music player on my pc. Sound quality is superb, some reviews mention low volume but i haven’t gone past half volume on mine and it is plenty loud. Perhaps it is device dependant, connected to my walkman it is simply amazing. I do listen to mostly dsd and flac though so that helps i’m sure. I love them and highly recommend a purchase.

I’ve only had these for 24 hours, but i can tell straight away that i think they are doing a good job. Bad stuff: i get the same link problem to a z5 that others have had with z2 or z3 – the connection cuts out and i have to press play. This happened in a cluster of about 3 breaks, but hasn’t happened since. Its a bit of a pain having to ‘find’ the headphones as a usb device every time i plug them in. Good stuff: its an elegant solution to a problem, no need to have a second box to carry around if you want decent dac decrypted audio. It will play up to 192kps files, flac and dsd. Battery life seems good (i use them on an hour and a half commute). Build quality is excellent, as is comfort. Using the iphone 6 with the usb camera connector(£25. 00), onkyo hf player with the hd pack add on (£7. 99) and the supplied pc/ charge cable – but connect to the non-pc/charge input on the headphonesif you try and connect the cable to the pc/ charge input on the headphones a message will pop up and say you are drawing too much power. So use the other usbabsolutely superb sound quality for the price.

Over the years i have a number of dacs and headphones which gives the chance to combine them to get an interesting sound dependent on the type of music you are listening. When the sony mdr-1adac was announced, i thought it was about time someone would combine a pair of headphones with a built-in dac. When the price was below what was generally advertised, i got a set of them. What was interesting was the amount of cables that was available to interface with your portable device (note; i was only interested in the pc/charging cable to connect to my pc/notebook (for this, you need to download a driver)). Following a straight forward setup it was time to play. Overall the sound was bright and warm, a wide sound stage and not heavy on the bass. Without the built-in dac (cable supplied) the headphone sound pretty good and will work well with a standalone dacs.

Fantastic pair of headphones with very nice sound quality, works fantastic with its own built in dac, means it’ll bypass your device’s amp and gives you a noticeable clearer sound. It beats anything i’ve had from bose and even my in ear monitors from westone.
