Sennheiser PXC 480 Around-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones -, An excellent set of noise cancelling headphones which fit over the ears very comfortably and produce excellent sound quality.

I’ve prepared other reviews of corded, in excess of ear, headphones and questioned the variety factor, and feel the need to do so once again right here. Specified the price and manufacturer, it is not astonishing that these are predictably perfectly manufactured, and seem superior. Probably the audio is a minimal compressed and bass major for some tastes, albeit seeming to soften the much more i hear, but it is surely insightful and musical. The noise reduction works effectively also, and there is a good selection to operate off the inside battery as a pure, cordless, noise cancelling headset, without music. There’s even a good communicate by way of operate which indicates it is doable to disable the noise cancellation with a solitary flick of a swap, in purchase to have a discussion without the need of likely to the work of having off the headphones. They are comfy, far too, and don’t get hot or push much too tricky, and the folding mechanism, and intelligent, significant hire, have situation, indicate that the folded variation is really reasonably transportable (going for slimline but huge functions perfectly in my bag). The place they don’t make sense is in the compromises manufactured. A corded design and style will make perception for household listening, and there is even a 7mm jack to assist this, but then why only offer you a quick twine, with an inline remote?. Both equally are clearly created for cell use, as is the noise cancellation. For portable use, in ear patterns make so considerably a lot more sense, and cordless layouts, at this value point, are truly excellent in terms of audio high-quality.

I wanted to get rid of the bluetooth as i do not like the plan of waves all-around my brain (there is adequate with wi-fi, cellular. So, my eyes went on this pretty headphone. Tried using it quite a few time in shops before deciding that it was time. I made use of parrot ziks (one then 2) for four several years. They were comfortable bud nothing at all to evaluate with the pxc 480. Quite comfortable ear pads and quite light much too. I am a traveller, getting in airports very generally. I can inform you that the noise cancelling on theses toddlers are very efficient. On my preceding headphone if you have been in a tranquil natural environment and listening smooth new music like classical, you could listen to some digital static noise coming from the noise cancelling. Which could be quite irritating throughout a quiet scene in a movie or for non loud music. Audio is extremely very good, not as loud as the ziks but quality clever, extremely great. You can also use the sennheiser app to configure the equaliser as you like, the app is very simple to use. Negatives :- the distant on the wire is functional but not quantity button ???. – the cost : with no bluetooth, no touchpad or internal location for the equaliser, this headphone should be cheaper than that look at to his major brother the pxc 550. Really comfortable, quite very good audio good quality which are the major two capabilities that i am wanting at for a pair of headphone.

The pxc 480 is in essence the wired variation of the 550 model and prices £80 for that decline of luxurious, although i think a £40 variation would in all probability be additional justifiable. I was blessed sufficient to obtain a mdr-v6 headset ahead of discontinuation for much less than £100 and i can tell you that that highly regarded flat audio simply beats the 480 which has much more emphasis on treble although the lows are alright. You also have to change up the quantity a minor bit much more than on the v6. I do locate it light-weight and comfortable on the head, even so. It does not really feel too heat and the pear-like form cups the ears slightly much better than the common round, in my viewpoint. It folds up neatly, which is of training course essential for a journey-promoted product. The incorporated 50 percent-moon scenario is nice also but will shed you very a little bit of place in cabin baggage. The headphones look attractive and seem very sturdy. Whilst you can use this as a speaking headset far too i could not exam that aspect on my computer as the included double-male splitter cannot plug into both my mic and headphone jacks since of their distance from each and every other. Even though you can purchase your own splitter low cost it would’ve been typical feeling to have included a cable with two divided jacks.

This is an excellent established of noise cancelling headphones. The shape of every single headphone is built to suit above the shape of the ear and i located the in good shape extremely cozy. The noise cancelling works quite properly and the audio top quality is extremely superior. I have made use of the telephones on each the bus and coach and am extremely impressed with the noise cancellation as effectively as the clear definition of the new music that i enjoy. All in all this is a 1st amount item which i can very advise.

Been using these for a pair of months now and have no grievances. The noise cancelling it in close proximity to magical and its probable to be sitting down in silence even with no new music working by means of them. The audio high-quality is extraordinary, finding up defects even in the cuts in between unique audio resources on blu-rays. I principally use these for seeing films and the surround audio performance is stunningly lifelike.

I wanted to get rid of the bluetooth as i do not like the idea of waves around my brain (there is enough with wi-fi, cellular. So, my eyes went on this sexy headphone. Tried it several time in shops before deciding that it was time. I used parrot ziks (1 then 2) for 4 years. They were comfy bud nothing to compare with the pxc 480. Very soft ear pads and very light too. I am a traveller, being in airports very often. I can tell you that the noise cancelling on theses babies are very efficient. On my previous headphone if you were in a quiet environment and listening soft music like classical, you could hear some electronic static noise coming from the noise cancelling. Which could be very annoying during a quiet scene in a movie or for non loud music. Sound is very good, not as loud as the ziks but quality wise, very good. You can also use the sennheiser app to configure the equaliser as you like, the app is very easy to use. Cons :- the remote on the wire is functional but not volume button ???. – the price : with no bluetooth, no touchpad or internal setting for the equaliser, this headphone should be cheaper than that compare to his big brother the pxc 550. Very comfy, very good sound quality which are the main two features that i’m looking at for a pair of headphone.

I’ve written other reviews of corded, over ear, headphones and questioned the form factor, and feel the need to do so again here. Given the price and manufacturer, it is not surprising that these are predictably well made, and sound good. Perhaps the sound is a little compressed and bass heavy for some tastes, albeit seeming to soften the more i listen, but it is definitely insightful and musical. The noise reduction works well also, and there is a nice option to run off the internal battery as a pure, cordless, noise cancelling headset, without music. There’s even a smart talk through function which means it is possible to disable the noise cancellation with a single flick of a switch, in order to have a conversation without going to the effort of taking off the headphones. They are comfy, too, and don’t get hot or press too hard, and the folding mechanism, and smart, high rent, carry case, mean that the folded version is actually relatively portable (going for slimline but large works well in my bag). Where they don’t make sense is in the compromises made. A corded design makes sense for home listening, and there’s even a 7mm jack to support this, but then why only offer a short cord, with an inline remote?. Both are clearly designed for mobile use, as is the noise cancellation. For portable use, in ear designs make so much more sense, and cordless designs, at this price point, are really excellent in terms of sound quality.

Beautifully crafted headphones, very comfortable to wear and fit a mans head just fine. They come in a jet black well constructed box, with a carry case of the headphones, a usb cable for charging, one link cable for connecting to an i-phone or something android compatible, i know not those. In use, they block most of the exterior sound, but not as much as simple cheap work protection ear muffs, which i also use. There is a tiny, hard to find switch that lets in outside noises, not sure of the usefulness and the switch also turns on the headphones, displaying the charge status. It’s very hard to locate in a hurry, but it also cuts out the music when held down so you can hear someone telling you to take the headphones off and get out of the waythey do this function by using the microphones to relay outside noises, it does sound very artificial, but eff clive enough. Not sure whether the charge lasts 50 or 30 hours as it says both on the box and 30 on the instructions, yet again 50 on this advertmake you minds up chaps. Note these would be very dangerous to wear whilst walking, driving or cycling as you would not hear the #32 bus until it killed you. For the cash, i would have preferred bluetooth connectivity, far more useful than being tied to a cable. These apparently also allow you to answer a phone call whilst in use using the single button on the lead, which has a complicated table of multiple short and press functionalities. I’ve looked, but can’t remember themotherwise, for a really comfortable listening experience using your phone or ipod, they are great.

The pxc 480 is essentially the wired version of the 550 model and costs £80 for that loss of luxury, though i think a £40 difference would probably be more justifiable. I was lucky enough to buy a mdr-v6 headset before discontinuation for less than £100 and i can tell you that that respected flat sound easily beats the 480 which has more emphasis on treble though the lows are okay. You also have to turn up the volume a little bit more than on the v6. I do find it light and comfortable on the head, however. It doesn’t feel too warm and the pear-like shape cups the ears slightly better than the standard round, in my opinion. It folds up neatly, which is of course essential for a travel-marketed item. The included half-moon case is nice too but will lose you quite a bit of room in cabin baggage. The headphones look attractive and seem quite sturdy. Although you can use this as a speaking headset too i couldn’t test that feature on my pc as the included double-male splitter cannot plug into both my mic and headphone jacks because of their distance from each other. While you can buy your own splitter cheap it would’ve been common sense to have included a cable with two separated jacks.
