Great sound high-quality and construct. Pretty cozy even immediately after extended use. Cant be crushed at the price.

Amazing headphones with terrific convenience and a fantastic audio. I received mine on sale and it was worthy of just about every pound.

Charming pair of headphones, totally remarkable, my initial pair of expensive headphones so i cant compare these to any thing else.

Fantastic headphones and the price tag was seriously low-priced for this item.

Wonderful established of headphones , great seem phase and bass. I use them for gaming and a little little bit of songs , the only terrible issue about them is the ear pads as i discovered them a very little itchy but when broken in they are genuinely cozy.

Philips Fidelio X2 Hi-Res Headphones Premium Design (Over-Ear, Velvet Cushions, 3 m Cable) – Black : Who would have thought phillips could make such a good pair of headphones a+++++.

Used with a 24bit external sound card on my laptop the sound is absolutely perfect, makes lesser systems sound good but not as crisp. , very well made, i love them. Play cds strait from the disk drive for maximum quality sound.

Okay, i have had these headphones for almost 2 year now, i recieved the gibson model. And at the time of purchase there was a large batch of x2s that were defected e. G (no sound separation, weak bass, glued earpads etc) and this put alot of people off of the x2 headphones. The headphones i recieved seemed to have no sound issues (for reference i own b&o h6, jbl lsr 305 and shure 353) but there are small quality issues with the materials. Right earcup has no coating and paint easily comes off, headband leather is peeling off and glued earcups. In terms of sound, i really like these headphones, the open back gives you a huge sound stage to listen to and its amazing. I use these for gaming good majority of the time, any games thats more of an audio experience such as pubg can give you an advantage, knowing what bearing the shot came from (compass). These headphones are more bass heavy, but the highs and acoustics are not drowned out by them. If you do listen to only classical or acoustic genres you might wanna try the senhessier hd 598/599, every other genre with the x2 you’ll be more happy with. Spec wise these headphones are considered heavy coming in at 380g, has a 3m braided removable 3.

I really like the sound of these however the headphones hurts my head around 1/2-1 hour of listening. The clamp force seems much higher than my hd6xx?.

I bought the x2hr version, after hearing all the issues with glue holding the pads with the previous version, i was a bit worried. But the hr version has easily detachable and replaceable earpads, which is nice. The sound is awesome through these cans, i have also got sennheiser hd 25-1 ii’s and the pioneer hdj-2000’s. The sound signature is pretty similar to the pioneers where the bass and treble are accentuated with a recessed mid, but the x2’s add a great warmth and openness of the bass due to its open nature. Even though they are quite heavy, they feel so comfortable to wear, i do notice a bit of hot ear if the room gets a little too warm which is kind of annoying, but that’s a personable issue. Great headphone for music, movies, and gaming (i’m using the v-moda boompro mic with it, it’s pretty awesome.

Incredible, the best headphone i’ve ever had, i also own a pair of sennheiser hd 650′,these are in my opinion better, i wont bother explaining all the pros and cons instead just read the description as it’s not lying, these are best bass oriented open back headphones that i’ve tried and are incredible for gaming with although i would recommend using them with either a good external dac, amp combo for the best experience, though this is not required. In summary i would recommend these to anyone for nearly any use weather that be music, gaming ect.

Amazing headphones; superb sound and build quality. These have great bass and are very comfortable to wear for long periods. They come with an excellent quality 3m detachable cable (no kinks). Being ‘open-back’ headphones they provide an excellent wide soundstage. However, that comes at a cost of not fully blocking out your environment, while also allowing others to hear what you are listening to. Not recommended for public use, but ideal for private sessions. They are low impedance which means they can be easily driven without an amp and sound great with just about any source (tv, mobile phone etc). If you use with v-moda boom pro and you’ll have a gaming headset the envy of your friends v-moda boompro microphone for gaming & communication – black.

Sensational sound, just read the plethora of reviews below to get an idea. I love my music and have a pair of 5 driver custom iems that cost almost 3x these (use them for gigging in a band) and these sound better. They leak a lot a sound so rubbish on the move and best used for solo listening or with tolerant partnersan absolute must at the £126 i paid for them.

Not a day goes by without me feeling fairly incredulous that i was lucky enough to buy these for £126. I’ve been consistently disappointed by pretty much every over ear headphone i’ve ever heard. My prior experience of open-backed headphones was a short period of time listening to grade sr80’s; reasonable soundstage but no bass whatsoever. Since then i’ve heard friends / relatives apparently well-regarded headphones (sennheiser momentum 2. 0 over ear etc) and been highly unimpressed. There was never any sensation to me that there is “music” playing around my head; just an unsubtle blast of close-up instruments and noise. The soundstage on these is just incredible. They are beautifully made and very comfortable, even around my definitely-larger-than-average ears. Having subsequently heard some more expensive (i.

00 after reading many a great review on the web. Gotta say these really are something sound wise. Huge soundstage, immaculate seperation, not bright and with great bass. If you are dissapointed with these cans at this price point you got the problem elsewhere, not the cans. Only minor gripes would be the pads pick up dust etc. Do yourself a favour and buy these, you’ll have to pay a lot more to beat the sound these produce.

Super headphones well made and heavy but fits nice on head till you look in mirror and these cans are huge ,,bigger than any of my akgs ,,but sound is where these shine ,, great bass,,super soundstage and because only 30 ohms impedence will be easy to drive off pc.

I bought these new recently. The quality of construction is excellent and the sound quality is superb, all for a good price. I’ve only played two or three cds so i’ll have to get back to you with a more detailed review. It arrived in good shape, no glue, no imbalance, no wear.

These headphones are an amazing sounding open headphone with great bass response and amazing soundstage the mids and highs are clear and not muddied by the bass these headphones are amazing for games and music and movie watching. A word of warning if you plan to use these on a phone they can sound a little washed out and underdriven if used with a phone with a bad audio solution such as my s7 edge.

I bought these headphones the other day when amazon were selling them for £126 brand new (incredible). They were only this price for one day so i was very lucky to spot them. I also own a pair of philips fidelio l1s and a new pair of sennheiser hd598srs which i bought in yet another amazon sale a couple of months ago for £80 brand new (another insane deal). Now then, put simply, i love the fidelio x2s. With regard to the sound, the frequency range extends to clearer highs and deeper, richer lows than the senns, although the resulting sound is perhaps less smooth overall. I also noticed some slight sibilance with the x2s on several vocal performances which is not present on my senns, my l1s and a pair of x1s that i have listened to in the past. This may ease in time as they don’t have too many hours on them yet but it’s not a major issue for me as this slight sibilance is not present on all the vocals i played so far and the x2s have been bought to complement the senns and l1s and play music to which they are more suited. The senns, for example, are a somewhat polite headphone and not quite as exciting to listen to as the x2s when reproducing a lot of the material in my collection. They are still superb though, make no mistakein closing, i would wholeheartedly recommend that the philips fidelio x2s are worthy of putting on your shortlist and that you give them an audition. They are easily worth their more usual £175+ as not only do they sound wonderful, they are also beautifully constructed from high quality materials and are supremely comfortable.

Pros: amazing sound headphones. Never heard bass and music so clearcons: are a little heavy and big. Definitely not friendly to wear them outdoors(not made for street).
Pros: amazing sound headphones. Never heard bass and music so clearcons: are a little heavy and big. Definitely not friendly to wear them outdoors(not made for street).
Great sound as reported widely in details, slightly sharp highs, bass is nice (some extension as well as quantity, not as well defined/tight as it could be though. My main issue with these is that they’re huge, i’ve a small head and they look ridiculous for a start but that’s not so important as these are home-use only. I find that the pads are so bulky (and slightly itchy feeling to me) and when i push the drivers in towards my head, i get a more punchy sound, it’s almost as if there’s not enough clamp to put the drivers at an optimum position on my head. The sound feels a bit distant and and feel like i want to keep turning the volume up, kind of frustrating, i’m glad i paid a reduced price for them. I wonder how this fit issue contributes to different listeners experience of these.

Just take it and i’m very very happy with it. The sound is amazing, premium. I decide to buy fidelio x2 after a long period by reading the reviews the bad one mostly. But i’m curious to try by my self after viewing the videos on youtube something is not well. The reviews here is mostly talk for a bad product (afer “gibson’s take care) but when i try to find more and in my country too (greece), i see that all of bad reviews is not true. Anyway as my concern the philips fidelio x2 is by far a prefect purchase.

I spent the first week really hating these just due to the poor sound quality at first. I gave it time for my ears to asjust to the different type of sound it delivers. Safe to say my patience paid off and now i am deeply in love with the spectacular sound it delivers. I bought these at £190 so was annoyed to see after one month they went down to £150 – must buy at this price. Comfort – incredible comfort. No pressing on your head , sits so well and can be used for hours. It does sometimes get itchy but that is tolerable. No complaints really except some songs the hiss sound is quite strong. Overall for 150 its a steal.
