Nad HP50 Headphones – : Great headphones

I obtain it additional at ease in contrast to momentum.

Nicely, when i thought that the oppo pm3 was a challenging act to beat as much as closed again headphones go, i have to withdraw it from the leading in favour of this. Despite the fact that the opinions are usually fantastic, i am somewhat surprised to obtain these as my #one choice. The appear and feel low cost, help you save for the leather-based pads. A lot less costly than the pm3 or audiotechnica msr7 (one more favorite of mine). But then you get that sound which results in being addictive with all the styles of music i hear, jazz, flamenco, modern tango, downtempo electronica. It may well be that ‘room feel’ technology which i would have sworn was just marketing and advertising but. No, it does add a little something that other people do not have. I consider the oppo are flatter and darker and the msr7 additional in-depth and shiny: total the nad have the finest compromise concerning the 2. Amazing soundstage and simplicity of generate are also welcome features to me and so is the inclusion of a nice and effective scenario in which they lie flat. I stay on the fence with regard to the construct excellent hoping to be confirmed mistaken.

Alright but sound a small ‘wooly’ for my liking.

I ordered the white types, and crimson kinds turned up – even so, the sticker on the outside the house of the box mentioned ‘white’, so the blame lies with the persons in the manufacturing unit who at first packed them, not the provider. The red types essentially search really nice – it really is a deep-ish purple, in not-low cost plastic, if that will make perception. I accumulate headphones, and have close to 30 pairs. These are some of the very best i’ve acquired. They have one thing called ‘roomfeel’ engineering to give a broader soundstage when compared to regular shut-again headphones, which is effective incredibly well. If you want the isolation of closed-back headphones, but with an open up-backed seem, then these headphones are the kinds to go for. I study some testimonials that complained about the condition of the headband pressing on their heads in unusual means – i experienced no these issue – i think the widening of the headband in fact would make them much more at ease. A single fantastic aspect that i haven’t seen on any other headphones (while i’m guaranteed there will be many others out there) is that the cable can be plugged into both earpiece.

Very good bass with no as well considerably emphasis. Slightly major and limited suit can be uncomfortable with eyeglasses for for a longer period listening classes.

NAD HP50 Headphones – White : Not many know this headphone but this beats most if not all the headphones i have tried up to £300. Very comfortable, very light, amazing packaging and accessories, it oozes quality and the sound is just amazing. The more i listen to it, the more i love it. Try it, you won’t regret it.

These headphones are outstandingly superior in spite of a poor assessment in what hi fi. Significantly far better to browse what tyll hertsen has to say on internal fidelity. Their condition is odd but they are extremely comfortable. The structure is a tiny amateurish but the seem redeems all. I have compared them with all the competition up to the p7 at £300 plus and they are to my ears the most neutral, musical and pleasant. They are a amazing discount at £199.

These are without having doubt just one of the ideal headphones i have had the pleasure to appreciate songs with. They are just as great if not much better than the b&w p7 at just over half the selling price. The seem is fairly purely natural with restricted bass exactly where it is meant and defined mids and highs. I generally use them related to chord mojo dac and the final result is a seem like no other. The only slight criticism is the squarish overhead band which not only appears absurd but also a little unpleasant. Still glad i attempted and purchased them although. This is my initially nad order and i am selected it will not likely be the previous. Update: managed to type out the squarish headband situation by gently pressing on the top rated sides giving it a far more curved form. Now they glimpse and really feel considerably better. There is constantly the chance of the headband snapping from accomplishing this but it worked for me : ).

Appears genuinely great, unfortunately is not significantly cozy. That is dependent on the form and dimensions.

. Only downside to these headphones is that unfortunately you will get used to just how excellent they sound.

Top quality of soundhigh definition shut headphone. I imagine hp50 is greatest for classical new music. Also in rock audio hp50 does extremely good perfomanceconvenienceabout a week when i put it on my head, it is really limited and some agony at temporal area (because i have on eyeglasses)just after about a week, no soreness. But not incredibly comfordable to use long time. If nad make one more model with concentrating to about ease, that headphone will be a reference. In conculusionhp50 is very good headphone. If you find a shut headphone at middle price, i’ll suggest hp50.

Soon after doing innumerable hrs of exploration for my fist good pair of closed back headphones i determined to consider the punt and go for these. I also bought the well known audio-technica ath m50xs for comparison. In conditions of comparison, there truly was a noticable variation in both equally ease and comfort and seem. In specific, the seem phase on the nads was far superior. I’m considerably from an specialist audiophile but it failed to take me extended to make your mind up that the nads had been truly worth the extra £50. The comfort and ease, which for me is a reasonably crucial element of headphones was fantastic but for extended listening intervals (of in excess of three several hours) my ears began to get sore for the reason that they had been touching the monitors. This was marketed by acquiring a pair of substitution ear pads from brainwavz which produced a large change. If you have large ears i would hugely reccomend acquiring these if you locate the nads are not comfortable. The audio for me is only fantastic. The soundstage is huge and in typical the audio is warm.

Seem is certainly a own preference. Some like the sound of a established of bass weighty beats headphones for what they listen to. Some like really higher conclusion headphones with neutral seem to decide out facts they under no circumstances read right before. I’d propose these nad hp 50’s strike a harmony concerning the two. I have many headphones/iems together with outdated monster beats tour iems – akg 702’s & shure se 535’s – the latter two reasonably neutral- great detail, want amplifiers and for my ears want the eq boosting for bass response (spoteq excellent for that if you use spotify -better than the eq in the application). I a short while ago ordered a fiio btr1 which is a terrific bluetooth amp – v smaller. Plugged straight into the fiio these hp50’s seem remarkable – (spotify on extreme setting). Bass is additional current than in my shure and akg’s – only seriously bass gentle music requirements the eq changing. But these nevertheless audio like large conclusion headphones with lovely mids (what you usually get from highly-priced headphones) and element. The area feel tech that nad made for me appears terrific – primarily on drum sounds which have a a little bit live sound to them.

Such a disgrace these headphones usually are not getting seen as they are definitely great. They glimpse strange, but that truly shouldn’t issue as if you’re even thinking about shopping for these you might be most probably on the lookout for audio top quality around overall look and rightly so.

Great headphones, truly reinvigorated my new music. Let us get this out of the way. Aesthetically i’m guessing it would go well with some head shapes far better than others. I have experienced a pair of tiny akg452s for a couple of decades, and was organized to devote some funds to up grade. Tried out a handful of in-retail outlet, like beats and sennheiser momentum, but just did not feel the enhancement justified the in some cases hair boosting charge. The nads quickly just sounded very different to the other folks i auditioned. Very neutral and wide soundstage. Top rated stop is distinct devoid of any harshness, and but the vocals are rounded and pretty warm. You could listen to these for several hours.

My oppo pm-3 telephones are whimpering away in the corner now. The just lately obtained nad hp50 are getting considerably a lot more ear time than them. These are the finest ‘bang-per-buck’ of any ‘phones i have listened to in a long time, and i have put in a whole lot of funds on ‘phones. My listening is now split amongst senn hd800 for armchair listening, nad hp50 for cell and all-around residence, and shure se535 where iem use is proper. The hp50 have a lovely rounded mid range (the place the audio life) and a perfectly controlled bass. The treble is rolled off somewhat and the in general encounter is perfect for my desires. Design is enough and the goofy headband would make people smile. Just one niggle is that the replaceable cable plugs into the least expensive stage of the ear cup and frequently brushes versus a shirt collar. Nad have benefitted from this approach in this development because still left and appropriate cups are similar that’s why simplifying manufacture.

By significantly the best headphones i have ever owned. Crystal apparent audio, fantastic over-ear really feel, and seriously straightforward controllable with the smartphone cable that arrives with it. Not low-priced, but you will enjoy your tunes in the greatest way achievable.

Amazing harmony and the bass is pleasant in the combine and not over powering like most more than the ear headphones.

Best funds you will ever devote.

Really only the finest shut headphones at this price tag or maybe any.

Org (and possessing put in a good few hundred quid on this hobby/obsession) i have got to a stage exactly where i really feel i know what l want from headphone/iem. Right before the hp50 i was pretty content with my westone w40s but i felt a bizarre yearning for a little something more. Is narrowed it down to either the hd650s, mad pet execs, audeze el-8s or even the westone w60s (of i could find a reasonably priced 2nd hand pair). It was then l started out to recognize the hp50. A little bit a lot more study (yawn) showed they had been acquiring rave opinions and the actual icing on the cake?. They have been more affordable than all the other alternatives. It sounded to fantastic to be legitimate – a £200 hp that was punching waaay over it’s body weight?. Perfectly, i’m listed here to convey to you that the nhs viso hp50 is the most effective sounding hp i’ve listened to. Superior than the westone w40s in phrases of detail and bass definition. They’ve reinvigorated my new music once more (the w40s did the accurately the exact). Personally i’d fail to remember your b&w p7s, your senn momentums and so forth. Just go through the critiques at head-fi. You won’t regret it (unless of course you have an situation with the headband.

Bought for my son after considerable tests and looking at critiques of a range of around-ear shut-back headphones. Attractive sumptuous seem, neutral tonal balance, with a slight favouring of the bass (he’s a bassist, so desired that), without the need of being in excess of the top, beats design and style. The presentation box is stunning the develop good quality great and they appear with some nice very little touches like a carrying circumstance and so on.

Sound is obviously a personal preference. Some like the sound of a set of bass heavy beats headphones for what they listen to. Some like really high end headphones with neutral sound to pick out details they never heard before. I’d suggest these nad hp 50’s strike a balance between the two. I have several headphones/iems including old monster beats tour iems – akg 702’s & shure se 535’s – the latter two fairly neutral- great detail, need amplifiers and for my ears need the eq boosting for bass response (spoteq great for that if you use spotify -better than the eq in the app). I recently purchased a fiio btr1 which is a great bluetooth amp – v small. Plugged straight into the fiio these hp50’s sound amazing – (spotify on extreme setting). Bass is more present than in my shure and akg’s – only really bass light music needs the eq adjusting. But these still sound like high end headphones with lovely mids (what you usually get from expensive headphones) and detail. The room feel tech that nad developed for me sounds great – especially on drum sounds which have a slightly live sound to them.

By far the best headphones i’ve ever owned. Crystal clear sound, fantastic over-ear feel, and really easy controllable with the smartphone cable that comes with it. Not cheap, but you’ll enjoy your music in the best way possible.

Well, when i thought that the oppo pm3 was a tough act to beat as far as closed back headphones go, i have to withdraw it from the top in favour of this. Although the reviews are generally excellent, i am somewhat surprised to find these as my #1 choice. The look and feel cheap, save for the leather pads. Much cheaper than the pm3 or audiotechnica msr7 (another favourite of mine). Remarkable soundstage and ease of drive are also welcome features to me and so is the inclusion of a nice and effective case in which they lie flat. I remain on the fence with regard to the build quality hoping to be proven wrong.

Brilliant balance and the bass is nice in the mix and not over powering like most over the ear headphones.

Good bass without too much emphasis. Slightly heavy and tight fit can be uncomfortable with glasses for longer listening sessions.

Fantastic headphones, really reinvigorated my music. Let’s get this out of the way. Aesthetically i’m guessing it would suit some head shapes better than others. I’ve had a pair of little akg452s for a couple of years, and was prepared to spend some cash to upgrade. Tried a few in-store, including beats and sennheiser momentum, but just didn’t feel the improvement justified the sometimes hair raising cost. The nads immediately just sounded very different to the others i auditioned. Very neutral and wide soundstage. Top end is clear without any harshness, and yet the vocals are rounded and very warm. You could listen to these for hours.

I ordered the white ones, and red ones turned up – however, the sticker on the outside of the box said “white”, so the blame lies with the people in the factory who originally packed them, not the supplier. The red ones actually look really nice – it’s a deep-ish red, in not-cheap plastic, if that makes sense. I collect headphones, and have around 30 pairs. These are some of the best i’ve bought. They have something called “roomfeel” technology to give a wider soundstage compared to normal closed-back headphones, which works incredibly well. If you want the isolation of closed-back headphones, but with an open-backed sound, then these headphones are the ones to go for. I read some reviews that complained about the shape of the headband pressing on their heads in weird ways – i had no such problem – i think the widening of the headband actually makes them more comfortable. One outstanding feature that i haven’t seen on any other headphones (though i’m sure there will be others out there) is that the cable can be plugged into either earpiece.

After doing countless hours of research for my fist good pair of closed back headphones i decided to take the punt and go for these. I also bought the popular audio-technica ath m50xs for comparison. In terms of comparison, there really was a noticable difference in both comfort and sound. In particular, the sound stage on the nads was far better. I’m far from an expert audiophile but it didn’t take me long to decide that the nads were worth the extra £50. The comfort, which for me is a fairly important part of headphones was good but for extended listening periods (of over 3 hours) my ears started to get sore because they were touching the monitors. This was sold by buying a pair of replacement ear pads from brainwavz which made a massive difference. If you have big ears i would highly reccomend buying these if you find the nads are uncomfortable. The sound for me is simply fantastic. The soundstage is wide and in general the sound is warm.

These are without doubt one of the best headphones i have had the pleasure to enjoy music with. They are just as good if not better than the b&w p7 at just over half the price. The sound is quite natural with tight bass where it is intended and defined mids and highs. I mainly use them connected to chord mojo dac and the result is a sound like no other. The only slight criticism is the squarish overhead band which not only looks ridiculous but also a little uncomfortable. Still glad i tried and bought them though. This is my first nad purchase and i’m certain it won’t be the last. Update: managed to sort out the squarish headband issue by gently pressing on the top sides giving it a more curved shape. Now they look and feel much better. There is always the possibility of the headband snapping from doing this but it worked for me : ).

. Only downside to these headphones is that sadly you will get used to just how good they sound.

Bought for my son after extensive testing and reading reviews of a range of over-ear closed-back headphones. Lovely sumptuous sound, neutral tonal balance, with a slight favouring of the bass (he’s a bassist, so wanted that), without being over the top, beats style. The presentation box is gorgeous; the build quality excellent and they come with some nice little touches like a carrying case etc.

Org (and having spent a good few hundred quid on this hobby/obsession) i’ve got to a stage where i feel i know what l want from headphone/iem. Before the hp50 i was fairly content with my westone w40s but i felt a strange yearning for something more. Is narrowed it down to either the hd650s, mad dog pros, audeze el-8s or even the westone w60s (of i could find a reasonably priced 2nd hand pair). It was then l started to notice the hp50. A bit more research (yawn) showed they had been getting rave reviews and the real icing on the cake?. They were cheaper than all the other possibilities. It sounded to good to be true – a £200 hp that was punching waaay above it’s weight?. Well, i’m here to tell you that the nhs viso hp50 is the best sounding hp i’ve heard. Better than the westone w40s in terms of detail and bass definition. They’ve reinvigorated my music again (the w40s did the exactly the same). Personally i’d forget your b&w p7s, your senn momentums etc. Just read the reviews at head-fi. You won’t regret it (unless you have an issue with the headband.

Such a shame these headphones aren’t getting noticed as they are truly excellent. They look strange, but that really shouldn’t matter as if you’re even considering buying these you’re most likely looking for sound quality over appearance and rightly so.

Fantastic value for the money. I still think the b&w p7’s are overall superior, but not £100 better. In fact, the p7’s i saw were an incredible £250 and i still opted for the hp50’s at £200. The hp50’s are more conformable, and if you’re a big jazz fan, they come out on top compared with the p7’s. These cans are amazingly comfortable, fairly neutral but not too neutral, warm in the right way, subtle, expansive, versatile, addictive. I found the psb m4u2’s quite nice but they don’t have anything on the hp50’s resolution and sound stage. I use these with the fiio e18 and (mostly) tidal hi-fi music streaming service.

These headphones are outstandingly good despite a bad review in what hi fi. Far better to read what tyll hertsen has to say on inner fidelity. Their shape is odd but they are very comfortable. The design is a little amateurish but the sound redeems all. I have compared them with all the competitors up to the p7 at £300 plus and they are to my ears the most neutral, musical and enjoyable. They are a remarkable bargain at £199.
