Beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition 32 Ohm Hi-Fi- Headphone, Superb Headphones

It was a gift for my husband. Great ease and comfort , benefit and sound.

I have been using these fantastic dt 880 quality edition headphones for a although now, largely for expert mixing use. I got the 250 ohm edition as i am running them off my apogee symphony interface, which has two headphone outputs. They make a fairly excellent combo, even though not the most perfect match. A devoted hp amp would be much better. Anyway, the seem good quality of these dt 880 edition’s could be explained as superbly revealing, and really near to my sennheiser hd-600’s, though they do have some sonic variances. The 880’s are exceptionally flat sounding, probably considerably less exciting and not quite forgiving to improperly blended and mastered new music. In studio use, mixing decisions have been quite favourable so considerably and they translate effectively to other playback techniques. The bass is just ideal imo, no bumps or tips. You can listen to each take note with a respectable level of depth and absolutely nothing ever gets muddy. Only inadequately combined or mastered material exhibits its unsightly facet on these cans, which is a very good sign of the high quality we get with these headphones.

Definitely an improvement in audio high quality above the audio blaster omega headset the dt’s are changing, and an even larger improvement in comfort and ease. Not particularly superior for listening to center and small excellent audio supply, they actually display up lousy recordings and sample charges. Get a excellent supply, however and they will impress. Fantastic seem separation, reasonable bass. ,has presence but not overpowering, with apparent mids and shiny highs. They leak very a ton of sounds. Rubbish for not disturbing a person in the very same space. In hindsight i need to have received the dt770 products with the shut backs. Loving the audio far too much to deliver them back :d.

I individual several pairs of headphones, between them quite a few sennheisers such as hd650, grado sr325is and akg q701. These are all fantastic headphones and i love them all in distinct methods the senns are laid-back and relaxing with crisp but non-aggressive highs, the grados are ahead, thrilling and in-your-face with a smaller, far more personal soundstage, and the akgs are in-depth, airy and really neutral (which if i experienced to opt for would be my choice all round). I hadn’t nonetheless tried using the beyerdynamics and wished to insert them to my collection, so i purchased the dt880 600 ohm directly from beyerdynamic ‘manufaktur’, which is customized configured on-line. Out of the box, i was taken aback by how crisp, in depth and (to my shock) enjoyable they sounded. Neutral, analytical headphones like the dt880 and q701 are frequently considered ‘boring’ but striving several sorts of audio from vivaldi to ac/dc to lasgo i consistently grew to become immersed in the *tunes* with even the occasional shiver down my backbone. Bass is taut and deep (not boomy or excessive, which bass-heads will *not* like), mids have great clarity (not notably recessed on my set up) and treble is lovely and sparkly. Of course, considerably has to do with the supply which in my scenario is an audiolab m-dac looking through flac documents by means of asynchronous usb, fed into a graham slee solo ultra-linear diamond edition headphone amp. With this set up, it seriously is a amazing practical experience and i could listen for several hours and hours with immense satisfaction of tracks i am nicely acquainted with – and without the need of going through fatigue or obtaining bored. The reality that the cans are supremely at ease to dress in substantially contributes to the pleasant high-quality of the practical experience. If you have a respectable established-up and, like me, you like a remarkably detailed, neutral, analytical presentation of your songs, i can not visualize you will be far too disappointed.

Excellent high-quality at good selling price. A person of finest item i acquired 2016.

beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition 32 Ohm Hi-Fi- Headphone : Superb sound, but need a proper headphone amp to get the best from them. Don’t even try to run them from your iphone etc without something else in the line as they won’t even get loud enough. Work well with a valve headphone amp (for the fellow geeks out there i use a homemade starving student amp and a schiit audio dac). I’d love to be brave enough to try running them of the speaker terminals of my power amp, but haven’t tried yet. If you want something bit more mainstream then look at the lower impedance models.

Definitely an improvement in sound quality over the sound blaster omega headset the dt’s are replacing, and an even greater improvement in comfort. Not particularly good for listening to middle and low quality audio source, they really show up bad recordings and sample rates. Get a good source, though and they will impress. Good sound separation, reasonable bass. ,has presence but not overpowering, with clear mids and bright highs. They leak quite a lot of noise. Rubbish for not disturbing someone in the same room. In hindsight i should have got the dt770 models with the closed backs. Loving the sound too much to send them back :d.

Fantastic sound from the 600Ω versions, just make sure you have them paired with a capable device to drive them properly. Like clouds on your ears, suitable for all day use, i have better sounding headphones but due to these being so comfortable i use them more than the rest.

Probably the best headphones i will ever own at this price point, exceptional clarity and separation with a great sound stage.

As a sound engineer, i find that these are one of the most transparent headphones you can buy. You won’t want to use them on a train journey as they’re open backed so they leak quite a lot of sound, but in terms of sound quality they’re amazing.

Comfortable and excellent quality headphones with a flat “curve”. Note that this means that there is no emphasis for bass or treble, although the rendition is crystal clear. Careful with your ears – you can increase volume a lot and not feel it, because there is no distortion, only your ears start to hurt. There is a need for an appropriate driver (using it with a presonus firebox), as this is the 600 ohm model.

Easily the best headphones i’ve used. There may be some better ones, but they also seem to cost a whole lot more. Even if you are not someone who makes music, i absolutely have to recommend these headphones. They’re solidly built, have excellent sound reproduction and accuracy, and they are incredibly comfortable to wear, even for long periods. I upgraded from beyerdynamic dt770s and i think it’s fair to say i’m a fairly loyal customer now. I have owned many other headphones before but none that i liked quite as much as these. There’s a reason professionals love these. Only thing to keep in mind is you do need a headphone amp for these headphones – your computer’s built in audio output probably won’t have enough power.

It is one of those purchases that i wish i made a long time ago, it is that good. Quality of the sound is superbe, not too much base which i like in particular, although you can crank it up if you like with your eq.
