Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7GM Headphones, Painfully good audio

Just used the last three hours enjoying jazz, classical and rock by these headphones and actually like how they manage the distinctive genres. I am listening to a lot more element from my songs and they deal with the genres i like pretty very well. I am not an audiophile but these fulfill meet up with my desires. There are a little bit tight on my head at the moment but i expect that to modify as the headband breaks in.

Love these headphones, wonderful seem and looks for a fair value.

Procured these audio-technica headphones as from practical experience audio-technica make excellent headphones, and they are among my favorites, as i now had favourable results from earlier buys. Also favored the establish high-quality and appears to be of these headphones is incredible. I am absolutely happy with my acquire. They definitely do seem great – great bass (not most likely for bass heads), very good mid-vary, and good highs – so no grievance – they are really neutral. They also seem like they are not shut back again headphones, as there is really a very good audio stage and do not focus or limit the audio in your head, while they do not leak far too considerably sound to the exterior earth. My desire goes normally for open more than ear headphones as significantly a sound excellent is concerned, but these headphones, taking into consideration that they have some sound phase, aids to make them audio so great. The point that they have replaceable cable is a more as well as for me. So entire five stars, in my humble and truthful feeling.

I ranking these purely on the audio, they audio amazing. Extremely clear, in-depth but handle to have bass as perfectly when it is required. Clearly, these will not match a basshead. But if you like listening out for aspects in music, apparent vocals then these are for you.

I typically don’t generate critiques but i though i would help folks like me that are not specialists on headphones by providing them my opinion. To start with of, i’am a rock/metal listener. I in no way bothered acquiring high priced headphones. By highly-priced i mean in excess of 150gbp. I individual a pair of noontec’s zoro high definition and a pair of xiaomi’s mi headphones. I recently made the decision to ”upgrade” my headphones to a better pair since i love listening to music and needed to check out for improved excellent seem. Noontec’s zoro high definition:it’s a really low-priced and great headset for bass fans?. Sound high quality is fantastic but when there are many instruments associated it will get muddy messy. And you get a headache just after a when. Xiaomi’s mi headphones:terrific headphones but they usually are not substantially far better than noontec’s zoro high definition.

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7GM Headphones : Happy with my purchase, i had the seinnheisser 202 which were excellent but the right earphone failed after about a year, i replaced them with these, first thing i noticed was the difference in bass, the 202 feels louder but i think at the expense of everything else, i’m no expert but i think the technica sound clearer sharper and everything seems more defined, i know this doesn’t make sense but they also feel like they are more ‘stereo’ 🙂 like they are better for watching films with, anyway i’m happy with my purchase, as spending four hours in them the last few nights is proof.

I’ve seen the reviews on a number of websites. Through actual listening:the high frequency part is artificially decorated, and part of the frequency is deliberately raised. The bass frequency part starts to lose voice around 30hz. The sound is completely inaudible around 20hz. The volume of the bass is large, giving the illusion of a “very strong bass”. In general, the bass part of the headset is not very good. When listening to symphony, atmosphere rendering may be poor. If you really like a lot of bass, sony’s headphones might be better for you. In general, it is a good headphone for female voice and popular music. The quality of itself is not bad.

They are very balanced, sound is clear and well toned and it is great for a wide array of genres. Hip-hop can seem a little mellow because of the lack of boomy bass, but i am a hip-hop lover and i do just fine without.

These headphones sound absolutely amazing. The bass is thick and smooth, the treble is all there as well and everything in between. These perform excellently across a wide frequency of sounds. I’ve listened to just about every genre of music through them and i don’t want to take them off, every song sounds 10x clearer and fuller. I’ve heard notes that i previously did not know existed in songs i’ve listened to for years. The range of volume is also very impressive and they are very good at containing the sound (very little leakage). They’re not noice cancelling but they do block out most noise (e. G people on the bus, busy streets, noisey roommates etc. Haven’t tried them on a plane yet). They are also really comfortable with memory foam pads and a memory foam headband, they don’t clamp hard at all.

I rating these purely on the sound, they sound amazing. Very clean, detailed but manage to have bass as well when it’s needed. Obviously, these won’t suit a basshead. But if you like listening out for details in songs, clear vocals then these are for you.

I am not a professional nor an audiophile, but i chose to prioritize sound quality and great looking over noise cancellation, comfort for long-term use and bluetooth. If you are not giving away the bluetooth, there is another version with that and a reasonable anc. I decided to save a few bucks, and to me this works great. The ears does heat up a bit, but given these are closed-back i think there is no magic there. And one more time: this thing looks so good.

Great precise headphones with a deep detailed clear sound. I’ve played a range of music through these phones from joy division, post punk, to eclip, drum and base dance music. The base is full and involving and never blurred as so many headphones present. All mid tones are present and rich giving you a full spectrum as the recording artist intended it to be presented to the listener. There is very little to no leakage of sound from this headset, great when sitting in the living room with others. These headphones are not for people with a larger head.

I went from the status audiop cb1s to these, and if you think the cb1s are the best headphone bargain, think again. These have a superior sound stage, clear lower mids and base, and they’re study. They’re a little uncomfortable after a while, mainly due to how strongly they clamp to your head, but i expect as you wear them in, this will be less of an issue.

At first i was a bit concerned about the weight of the phones but ‘on the head’ i find them great and easy to wear for quite a long time. (was also concerned that the cans cover the whole ear and that some sort of auditory claustrophobia might set in; but this is not the case). I listen to classical music and speech – usually via a small digital radio and sometimes an i-pod. I don’t need big bass and these phones don’t give it. They seem to me to produce a pleasant neutral sound, with a treble that allows all the voices of an orchestra, for example, to come through authentically. No idea if their sound would be pleasing to someone into other musical genres but i would be surprised if it didn’t (caveat the ‘bass’ bit above).

They were phonomonol on some songs, sub par on others. Very easy on the ears tho, comfy and sleek. Roll on bt5, the future will be cable free guranteed.

Sound quality – amazingcomfort – superb (read update below, not superb anymore)build quality – greatwhile these headphones don’t have noise cancelling, these fit so snugly on your ears that you don’t actually need noise cancelling. The sound quality i feel like i’m hearing sounds in songs that i never heard before. I’ve previously stuck with akgs but now i don’t think i ever need to buy another set of headphones (unless audio technica make wireless versions of these to replace my wireless headphones). If you’re a user/fan of beats headphones, these may not be for you. They are very flat and don’t have ridiculous artificial bass in the sound. Updated review:i’ve dropped two stars because while i bought these to replace the ath m50x, i cannot recommend wearing these for longer than an hour. The memory foam gets thinner and thinner while you’re wearing them and before you know it the plastic speaker grill inside the headphones is pressing hard against your ear causing extreme discomfort. I could wear my m50x for several hours and not experience this.

These are sylish headphones and the sound quality is superb across the range not too much bass which to me is great as after listening for a while with others my ears start to hurt but these are just right. Two minor things with these are there isn’t enough padding in the headband which is instantly noticable, however after you wear them a little while you don’t notice. Also they seem to creek a little when you turn them for some reason (add a little wd40 to the top where they turn and the creek is gone), however i can easily overlook these as the sound quality is so great. I can safely say these are the best headphones i’ve ever had and i swapped from the sony m1a to these.

Very good headphone, it is very suitable to the acg songs.

The sound is great and balanced as expected. Vocals are pretty clear and were great for me graduating from a basic headphone set. You could pick nuances from higher end and bass is also not too much. A minor complaint would be the cans squeak. So you might hear some clickety noise while walking with these on.

These headphones have high clarity. The sound is clear and clean. As many other reviews have noted, the bass is not heavy, but it is adequate for electronic music. The earpads are comfortable. Less so than the sony mdr-1a, but still comfortable and no doubt will loosen up with use. I have found the issue with “fatigue” to be true. They are incredibly clear, yes, but they are not a gentle listen. The sony mdr-1a and the sennheiser hd598 are the picks for ultimate comfort and laid back listening at home. These however, deserve five stars as they are superb in their own right. The clarity exceeds both models mentioned, and indeed the ath m50x.

Good sound quality, but very tight headband on a large head like mine. Once again the one-size-fits-all assumption for headgear proves to be a little optimistic. Those with a big head will hear their blood pounding in their ears courtesy of the pressure this audio vice will exert. So probably not ideal all-day wear for the large of cranium; better off in bursts of an hour or two at a time. While you can bear to have them clamped around your head, you’ll enjoy clear, crisp sound. And one benefit of the, ahem, snug fit is that they do a good job of dulling outside noise.

I purchased these headphones around six months ago and they have been great the whole time. The sound quality is amazing and balanced throughout the ranges, unlike some others where the bass overpowers the sound. Audio-technica has done a great job in this respect. I find these headphones very comfortable for long periods, due to the around ear design and padded headband. The earcups are one of the best i have ever used and the whole system feels high quality from the largely leather and metal construction. These where a huge step up from the urbanears set i used to use and i feel these will last me well. You get a lot of value with these headphones, especially since i got these when they were discounted. My only complaint is the small bit of blue above the driver- it stands out a little too much. However, i feel this is a petty complaint seeing as these are as good as most headphones £80 more expensive.

They are clear and bright, very detailed, and the bass is there but that all depends on the track. If it’s not there in the original recording you are not going to get it with these headphones. I’ve listened to some tracks that do have bass, and it’s sublime. The treble is forward, which i like personally. You can always adjust with an equaliser like i do. Some may scoff at that but for me it’s important to get the sound you like. I enjoy all my tracks with less mid, but with a tad more bass and treble to make the sound clear and open. Another important thing to note is not all recordings are created equal, some are pretty terrible to be honest, and these headphones will make it very obvious. Piano and aquostic guitars sound fantastic.

Very early days in using these headphones, but first impressions are very positive. I noted some reviews were a little critical of the bass quality. . But i can’t agree with that. Picks up instrumentation that my old sony headphones didn’t. Only slight criticism was delivery did not take place on the anticipated day. Arrived the day after, exactly a week after ordering.

My denon headphones(pretty good themselves) gave up the ghost, so i invested in these having read some favourable reviews. It’s just as though all my music has been remixed. More detail, more space around voices/instruments, better clarity, more natural sound, wonderful. I’ve just got to re-listen to all my music.

The last headphones i had were audio-technica m20x’s, so you can expect that these would be so much better. Where can i start, lets start with the con’s:the bass on these headphones are not the best, they are a little flat in the bass region but that is fine considering that i am not using a dac-amp so i cannot put the gain up on the headphones at all. 5mm jack does not fit perfectly into a computer motherboard, it is a little loose at the back but they still work perfectly, again if you had a dac-amp this would be fixed. When you get these the first time they will clamp on your head pretty hard, you will have to get used to them and it does take a little bit of getting used to it. This is where the con’s end. Pros:the build quality of these headphones are some of the best build quality i have ever had the plessure to touch, when you touch them for the first time all you feel is nice cool metal paired with the sturdiness and weight of the headphones, they pair of headphones are sure to be the best build quality i have ever felt in my life. When you put them on the comfort is another thing, it is out of this world. When you feel the ear cups they are so soft. When you put these on your actual head it will not hurt your ears or squash them in any way.

I didn’t get these off here, i got them in an electronics store for much less than the listed price. But having gotten rid of my fabled m40x cans for these, i feel like i might just have to review these. They’re built very well, feel and look premium, are comfortable (i personally don’t see this clamp hype, they’re actually not far off loose for me) and the sound is pretty much as described. The sound is as detailed as your phone or spotify will probably ever have use for. It’s clear, even with heavily layered rock music, you can make out every little nuance. And in the treble area, it is crystal clear to the point where sometimes it may sound a little harsh, dependant on how the track is mixed/recorded. The m40s had a more comfortable sound, and i thought it was the pinnacle of decent priced detail. These msr7s are challenging, sharp, dynamic and detailed.
